He goes on live TV and says some bullshit about us having 36 allies on the ground in Iraq. The gall of this guy to just lie with such impunity never ceases to amaze me.
The only country with a significant presence on the ground and in harms way in Iraq is the US. The British are in a distant second with a fraction of the troop presence and then we get to the good stuff. Here are the numbers of countries with soldiers "in the field", so to speak, in Iraq according to HARDBALL:
Hungary - 15
Japan - 5
Latvia - 2
Turkey - 2
New Zealand - 1
Singapore - 1
Canada - 1

After this stellar assemblage of military might you have to dig down into the bowels of the United Nations to pull out your Azerbaijan's, Kazakhstan's and Moldova's who are providing some type of support but it sure as hell isn't military. Oh yeah and I can't forget Poland whose troops will be totally out of Iraq by the end of the year. It'd be a shame to forget about Poland.
