Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son

Today The Pres is employing a spiffy little diversionary tactic to try and draw some heat off of his administration's involvement in the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame. He's even going so far as to make his announcement (most likely of Judge Edith Clement) tonight at 9pm...that's primetime people!
Well I'm here to tell you why this isn't really as big a story as The Pres is hoping it will be.
His nominee would have to go through weeks and weeks of a confirmation process before she would be able to assume her role on the high court and as it turns out that process won't be able to start for at least five weeks because Congress is going on their undeserved summer break.
So no matter who The Pres chooses, be it Clement or some radical freakshow wih delusions of overturning everyting from Roe v Wade to Affirmative Action, it won't matter for at least five weeks.
So lets keep up the Karl Rove bashing and making White House spokesman Scott McClellan sweat and stammer because the Valerie Plame case is important RIGHT NOW while this nomination won't be important until the fall.
